My online course consists of a series of videos. They offer you an educational trip throughout France to help you discover the grape varieties, the styles of wine and the particularities of the different vineyards.
These videos are designed to make you comfortable with any labels, having an idea of what you will find in your bottle: at home, in a restaurant or at a wine shop!

The online course contents
Why offering an online course?
At first glance, wine is a subject that may seem overwhelming. In France, there are about 400 “appellations contrôlées”: all being different vineyards, each with their own particularities: grape varieties, terroirs, viticultural practices, classifications etc... And we're only talking about France here! The subject becomes more complex when looking at other wine countries, for example Italy and Spain!
However, understanding French wine is much easier when you approach the subject with a few keys in hand!
Thus, after having taught French wine to many foreign visitors, I wanted to make my contents available in the form of educational videos. These contents are available online. You can watch them as many times as you want.
What's included in the online course...
The first videos will bring you several keys. First of all, a first overview of the distribution of the vineyards on the map of France in order to understand the distribution of colors and styles of wine. In these first videos, I’m explaining how to read and understand the information on a wine label.
Secondly, I take you on a trip to each major wine region and their particularities. For example, the classifications in Bordeaux, the Burgundy “climates”, or the varietal wines in Alsace.
I’ll also cover the aging potential of the wines, the great vintages, and some ideas for wine and food pairings!
At the end of each video, I like to offer some suggestions of wines to get and taste, in order to extend the online course contents with some wine tasting experience!
